GOODYEAR, ARIZONA (April 15, 2024) – Convergence Performing Arts is excited to share that all three (3) programs received recognition at the 2024 WGAZ Championships – including two (2) class champions!

Convergence Indoor Percussion was named the Percussion Independent A (PIA) class champions, receiving a gold medal, and a score of 78.9 for their show, “Battle Scars”. Convergence Indoor Winds was named the Winds Independent A (WIA) class champions, receiving a gold, and a score of 84.35 for their show, “Wrapped in Plastic”. Convergence Winterguard concluded their season with a 69.635, receiving a bronze medal for their show, “The Coven”.

Stephen Goodman, President of the Board of Directors, had this to say: “These achievements are an exciting step in the trajectory of the Convergence programs – marking the successful conclusion to the first year of Convergence Performing Arts, Inc. as an independent organization! We are incredibly proud of all of our performers for their hard work and dedication to the indoor activity. We look forward to what the future holds for Convergence as we continue to provide enhanced educational and performance opportunities in the marching and pageantry arts!”
